    OMG! isoHunt is now gone!

    isohuntwallpaperbybryanveloso
I was about to download the latest episode of Big Bang Theory using the torrent search engine isoHunt, but to my surprise, it was already gone. It was just yesterday that I downloaded my last movie from isoHunt, the Pacific Rim in 1080p full HD format. It’s sad to see you go isoHunt, but there’s nothing I can. I’m just a mere human being who loves to use your search engine. I guess I have to use Google for now to search for torrents, or PirateBay perhaps.

  • Rocket Loader in CloudFlare is now fixed!

Rocket Loader in CloudFlare is now fixed!

Last week, Rocket Loader seems to be weird. It doesn’t load the Adsense ads and other external javascripts. Some JS files in my theme doesn’t load as well. My floating menu in my other blog was fixed, and a lot of bugs occurred, a lot of jQuery files malfunctioned. Most of the super awesome features of my blog didn’t work after activating it. So I decided to deactivate it and filed a support ticket inside my CloudFlare account.

After a few days, I added a few plugins (Social Buttons via WordPress.com Jetpack) and other WP plugins that will add more external javascripts in my WordPress blog. To my dismay, my grade of 99% in Google PageSpeed went down to 89%! An extra 10 external javascript files was added in my source code!

I’m so freaked out and sad at the same time so I re-enabled Rocket Loader. At first, I thought Rocket Loader didn’t work because nothing changed in my blog. All javascript files are working, the Adsense ads and other third party ads are loading just fine. And everything is just right, like nothing’s changed.

  • How to rank higher on Search Engines?

How to rank higher on Search Engines?

    webdotcom
This question was asked to me by my uncle as he was curious of how to rank his restaurant website higher in Google, Yahoo and Bing. I’m not really a search engine optimization expert, but I know some ways to rank your site on top. If you’re really patient and hard working, you can do some link building and guest posting. But if you’re not that diligent to build your own links, there are some services in the web that will help build links for you, provide consultancy, and will make your website go to the top of the search engine results pages.

  • Why You Need To Pay Attention To Usability In Design

Why You Need To Pay Attention To Usability In Design

For anyone who has monitored changes and trends in web design, it feels like the ground has shifted more in the last few years than in the entire lifespan of the web. Social media is now engrained in web marketing, as is video and quality content, and website owners are now facing increasing barriers to garner attention for their site. Infinite scrolling and single page designs are springing up all over the place, and it is not too hard to imagine the day when traditional brochure-type websites are completely obsolete (if not already).

    usabilityandesign

Alongside the appearance of your site, usability is becoming increasingly important. Websites that think about the user experience have a better chance of success and conversion than those that don’t. But how feasible is it to make your website more usable, and what specific advantages are there for those that design in this way?

  • How Small Businesses Protect Their Brand with a VPN

How Small Businesses Protect Their Brand with a VPN

vpnWhen it comes to small business strategies, Internet marketing is key. Companies are utilizing various SEO strategies while linking to social media platforms. The point is to drive more traffic to their website.

Protecting your traffic data from the prying eyes of competitors is as essential to business growth as preventing them from taking your client list so they may market to your customers directly.

It seems that every major player in small business has hired an SEO specialist to help him or her control the local market. Within seconds these experts can access one’s traffic data and record the information to use against them. A sure way of achieving this is to analyze the traffic going into a competitor’s website and determine what pages are viewed and directly engaged while comparing their marketing strategies to the numbers.

Knowing how much traffic a website gets helps competing businesses validate that website’s content and arms them with the knowledge of how much traffic they need to get in order to get similar results. Without proper security, you might as well hand over a blueprint of your brand’s success to the competition. (more…)
