    50MBPS in the Philippines is now more affordable

    skybroadband-nowcheaper.jpg

    If you haven’t heard the news yet, Sky Broadband lowered down their price from around 10k per month, to 2,899/month for their 50MBPS Ultra High Speed Internet. That is actually incredibly cheap.

    Their 200mbps and 100mbps plans are no longer featured in their website, but I guess it’s still available. They only have 3 plans now, the 3MBPS plan for 999/month, 16MBPS plan for 1,999/months and 50mbps for only 2,899/month.

    If I remember it right, their 200MBPS plan costs around 35k, and 100MBPS around half that price. So before this huge price drop, their 50MBPS plan was around 9k – 10k/month. I just can’t remember the exact price.

    They still do offer a consumable plan of 10MBPS for 1,299.00. But I assume they will be discontinuing it soon as they are now offering a much better 16MBPS for 1,999.00 and its bandwidth is unlimited.

    There are no news yet whether they will still continue to offer the Consumable plans or other internet plans that is not including in the current 3 plans they are offering right now in the near future.

    UPDATE: Due to my curiousity, I checked mysky.com.ph via wayback machine, I found the old prices!

    3MBPS = 999/month
    10MBPS – 3999/month
    16MBPS = 4999/month
    24MBPS = 6499/month
    55MBPS = 9499/month
    200MBPS = 34999/month
    112MBPS = 19999/month

    So now, it’s dead cheap. They just reduced the price of 50MBPS around 60%! Thank you Sky Broadband!

  • Bitcoin price reached $500 and will probably reach $700 by this month

    Well as you may have noticed, I’m closely monitoring Bitcoin’s price almost every hour minute now. Because I just invested half of my life savings a few months ago when the Bitcoin’s price was around $200. Now it’s at $500.00 and I’m very glad I did. I hope it will quadruple my money by end of 2015. I have a very good feeling that the price will still go up as of writing this post. Its 24-hour high is at $519.39 and it opened today at $409.00.

    Still, there are risks, but we risk our lives everyday going to work, eating something from a restaurant, travelling to and from home, and everyday we always do different subtle risks. This one is less riskier I presume.

    Will post more updates regarding the 2015 bitcoin fever!

    Kickass Malware: A site that contains harmful programs according to Google

    kickass-blocked
    Just today, after visiting my favorite Torrent site Kickass via kat.cr and kickass.to, Chrome showed me a warning that the site contains harmful programs. I doubt that it contains any harmful programs and I understand the risk, so I went ahead and clicked “Details” then continued browsing the site. After I’m redirect to the Kickass Torrents site, nothing is really harmful inside, and no unwanted software was installed or pop up popped in my screen. Rest assured that Kickass is still safe to browse, to be scared that much.

    Infolinks new website design launched today!

    infolinks-new-website-july-2015
    If you’ve noticed, Infolinks recently launched their new website today! It now looks more ergonomic, cleaner, and of course, better than the old one. However, the user dashboard when you login is still old. I think they will also be revamping the user dashboard (or the Publisher Center as they call it) soon to complement with the new site’s design and color scheme. And look! It’s mobile responsive (just visit their website at infolinks.com and resize your web browser to see).

  • iRO Thor DC issues still not fixed for 2 months now

    iRO Thor DC issues still not fixed for 2 months now

    If you’re like me, a pRO player who migrated to iRO Thor, then you must be waiting for the DC issues to be fixed soon. Right now we’re encountering various sprite errors, DC on login, and DC on character select issues. WarpPortal said that they are still waiting for the magical kRO tool to fix all issues, but until now, June 2015, 90% of the migrated accounts still can’t login.

    Anyway, I was able to fix some of my character with sprite errors and I wanna share it with you guys of how I did it. First you need to download openkore from openkore.com then run it. Yes, I know, it’s illegal in iRO, but it’s the only way to fix sprite error issues. Once you’re logged in in your account, just use the uneq command and remove all gears that your character is wearing. Enter “i” first to view all the gears that you’re currently wearing, then uneq item #. You can check the item numbers once you viewed your character.

    Screenshot of the inventory and equips after entering i:

    You need to unequip all gears that you are wearing so that the sprite issue will not show up once you’re logged in on the official iRO client.

    That’s just how I fixed some of my accounts. I hope you will be able to fix yours as well if you encountered the same problem as I did.

  • NameCheap Renewal Coupons for June 2015 doesn’t work

    NameCheap Renewal Coupons for June 2015 doesn’t work

    namecheap-logo
    If you’re on NameCheap and you want to save $1.00 in your domain renewal, you’ll just be disappointed. Fake coupons around the world wide web sprouted like wildfire. Coupons like GOLDDEAL and SILVERDEAL doesn’t work at all. Anyway, I can’t really verify it as I only have 10 domains. Haha! I’ve read somewhere that you can use the GOLDDEAL coupon if you renew around 50 domains, and SILVERDEAL coupon if you renew 20 domains simultaneously.

    I also read that, that coupon will only work if you have 50 or 20 domains in your account. So unlucky for me that I only have a few domains. A friend of mine got 212 domains, so I think he will have a discount if he renews it all simultaneously.

    I’m thinking for renewing my domains for 10 years or so, just like what my friend did. So that I won’t be bothered renewing it yearly. I’ll just renew it again in year 2025. Hmmmmm…

    Anyway, that would be all for today. I just shared that the Namecheap renewal coupons doesn’t work.

    iRO Thor is now live, but WarpPortal.com is down for 2 days and counting…

    isup-warpportal
    It has been almost 2 days since the first weekly maintenance of iRO Thor server (where all pRO servers were migrated). WarpPortal.com seems to have a serious issue with their server hardware. According to their update last April 29 at 8:41 AM, they have lost connectivity to the outside world due to a network issue. It’s being investigated by their Internet Service Provider and IT Team. Unfortunately, it is affecting all Warpportal.com game titles and web sites. But they are working to restore connectivity and in the case of Ragnarok and Requiem, they will begin their maintenance tasks asap.
