Super 8: Unrevealed Mysteries and Questions in Mind

JJ Abrams proved once again that he’s the master of thriller and science fiction movies and TV shows. I’m a big fan of Lost, and I’m a big fan of JJ Abrams. Just like Lost, JJ Abrams left the viewers hanging of many mysteries that are not unveiled in his latest science fiction movie Super 8.

After watching the said film, I still have a lot of unanswered questions regarding the series of events and the reason why this and that happened. Here are some questions that I still can’t answer until now. I’ll try to watch the movie again and connect the dots so that I can answer these questions myself. I think somewhere in the movie, the answers to this questions are revealed. Or somewhere in the teaser posters or the previous trailer.

  • Firefox 4.0.1 is faster than the previous version, but still slower than Chrome

Yep, that’s all that I want to say. It’s all in my blog post title. The latest version of Firefox which is Firefox 4.0.1 has a newly designed GUI and it’s a bit faster than the previous version that I’m using, which is 3.8.something. It’s cooler than before and all the plugins that I’m using in my FF Version 3.0 is still working in FF 4.0. FireFTP, FireBug, Web Developer plugin and other geeky add-ons are working just fine.

After I installed it, there’s a pop up that notified me about the disabled plugins, because they are not compatible. After I clicked check if it’s compatible, it’s all compatible! Weird huh? Anyway, what’s important is it’s compatible with Firefox 4.0.1.

I love Firefox so much because of FireFTP extension and the super useful Web Developer extension. That’s the reason why I’m still sticking to Firefox, despite the fact that Google Chrome is undeniably faster and better browser compared to FF. If Chrome has the plugins I mentioned, the I will probably switch to Chrome.

    Addicted to the Nine-Tailed Fox

If you’re watching My Girlfried is a Gumiho, I bet you’re addicted to that Korean TV Series too. It’s a comedy-drama and I simply love it. In fact, I downloaded the original sound tracks (OST) of My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, because all songs are just awesome!

I’ll be sharing it here in my blog. I’ll upload it first then I’ll share it with you. Right now, I’m watching the 3 Idiots. This movie is very long but it’s funny. I’ve watched it 4 times already, and it still makes me laugh out loud.

That’s all for today. I just arrived from New Zealand to visit my Tito, that’s why I haven’t updated this blog more often last May. It’s already June and this is my first update this June, obviously.

  • Google’s “Define:” function is not working anymore or just a glitch?

I wonder why the define: function that I really love to use in Google.com is not working anymore. I tried to define several words since last week, and I thought it’s just a glitch or a bug, but it seems to be removed. I’ve read in the Google web forums that I’m not the only one who’s experiencing it.

There’s another thread here that says it’s just a glitch and it’s properly working. A Google employee even replied to that thread and confirms that the define: function is still working.

Have you tried to define a word and it’s not working? Then you’re also experiencing this weird bug that Google hasn’t completely fixed it.

I hope the define function will not be removed as it’s really useful. As of the moment, If you want to define a work, you can go to google.com/dictionary instead.

But… if you’re not experiencing this bug, then you’re probably lost and you shouldn’t be reading this post.

  • 10-Digit Message in Adsense Payout via Western Union

Have you ever wondered what is the 10-digit number in the message of the recent Google Adsense payout via Western Union? I just claimed my March 2011 payout today and I noticed a message from Google Adsense containing a 10-digit number. I also asked my fellow Adsense publisher if their Western Union printout has a 10-digit message, and they said… YES!

I searched about it in Google and found nothing. I searched about it in the Adsense forums, and I found nothing.

Is this something? Or just nothing? If you know what it is, kindly share it in the comment field below.
