If you bought a “brand new” iPad at Lazada.com.ph, specifically the “Apple Ipad Mini 2 Retina 32GB Wifi (White)/Silver” on sale for 11,499.00 and after you open it, it has a pass code, return it immediately. It isn’t brand new. It’s just resealed and it has a previous owner. Brand new iPads will never ever have a pass code by default.
Don’t attempt to unlock it or reset it via iTunes Recovery Mode, because you won’t be able to. It’s blocked and it will be locked forever, unless the previous owner unlocked it. Just return it to Lazada within 7 days after you purchased the item.
If you’re unlucky and 7 days have passed, then you’ll be stuck with that unusable iPad. You can’t resell it because it won’t be used by anyone, anymore.
Lucky for me I was able to return the iPad with passcode. It’s best to open it immediately while the Lazada delivery guy is at your doorstep, then return it on the same day if it has a passcode by default.
