JJ Abrams proved once again that he’s the master of thriller and science fiction movies and TV shows. I’m a big fan of Lost, and I’m a big fan of JJ Abrams. Just like Lost, JJ Abrams left the viewers hanging of many mysteries that are not unveiled in his latest science fiction movie Super 8.
After watching the said film, I still have a lot of unanswered questions regarding the series of events and the reason why this and that happened. Here are some questions that I still can’t answer until now. I’ll try to watch the movie again and connect the dots so that I can answer these questions myself. I think somewhere in the movie, the answers to this questions are revealed. Or somewhere in the teaser posters or the previous trailer.
Anyway, below are the questions and mysteries that I need answers in Super 8.
1. Why did the Biology teacher Dr. Woodward put his life at Stake to crash the train?
2. What is the reason why he crashed the train? To free that extra terrestrial creature? Or kill it?
3. When Dr. Woodward said they will kill you and your family, who is he referring to? The ET or the government?
4. Why did that ET create kidnap human beings, but don’t kill them?
5. What’s the purpose of the cubes in the train? Is it really parts of the ET’s spaceship? Or the ET just used it and the US government has another purpose about it?
6. Where did the creature come from? From what planet? And how did the government capture it?
I think that’s all for now. I think I have to watch the movie again to answer the questions myself.
